India added four more gold medals to the overall tally at the Afro-Asian Games with Sania Mirza claiming the Women's singles tennis title.

India added four more gold medals to the overall tally at the Afro-Asian Games in Hyderabad today. India's first Wimbledon girl's doubles champion Sania Mirza claimed gold by defeating compatriot Rushmi Chakravarty in the women's singles tennis event. Sania won in straight sets 7-6, 6-3. Meanwhile, Mahesh Bhupathi and Rohan Bopanna defeated Sunil Sipayea and Vinod Sridhar to clinch the men's doubles tennis title. The duo won 6-4 3-6 6-3. Shakti Singh in men's Shot-Put and Anil Kumar in men's discus throw added the other golds.Topics mentioned in this article
