Caroline Wozniacki Getting Nightmares Ahead of New York Marathon
Tennis superstar Caroline Wozniacki is at the peak of her physical fitness but running a 42-kilometer marathon is giving her sleepless nights nonetheless.

A 42-kilometer marathon can give nightmares to even the fittest of athletes. Just ask tennis star Caroline Wozniacki, who revealed she has been having uneasy nights thinking of the New York Marathon - scheduled to take place on November 2.
Although at the peak of her physical fitness, Wozniacki told CNN's Open Court in an interview that she has been having nightmares about the race, schedule just a week after the season-ending WTA Finals in Singapore.
"I dreamed one time that before I even got to the start line I was dead. Or, I dreamed that someone had to get me through the finish line in a wheelchair. So I don't know if I am that confident but I'm starting to get there," said the 24-year-old.
The former world number one will be running for charity and has been preparing hard for the run. While a busy tennis schedule has meant that her body is accustomed to physical demands, running a 42-kilometer course is a completely different ball game from a tennis match.
Wozniacki - who split with fiance Rory McIlroy earlier in the year -- however said that training hard ought to help her complete the challenge. (Also read: Rory wins it all, focus since split with Wozniacki pays off)
"Running has definitely helped. In the middle of the year I had a tough time outside the court and in my personal life. Just going for a run was nice to clear my mind and think about something else. Then you feel great about yourself as well. You get fit," said the Danish player.
