There has been a major controversy over Lucknow Super Giants owner Sanjiv Goenka's fiery chat with skipper KL Rahul following their huge loss against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Wednesday. LSG were completely outplayed by SRH as the Pat Cummins-led dealt a major blow to their IPL 2024 dreams. LSG could manage to score just 165/4 - a target that was chased down by Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head in just 9.4 overs. While the video of the conversation between Rahul and Goenka has gone viral, another video shows that Goenka also had an animated chat with head coach Justin Langer. Goenka was visibly upset following the result, and he had a conversation with the Australia great regarding the situation.
LSG are sixth in the IPL 2024 points table with 12 points and they will have to win all of their remaining two games and depend on other results to find a place in the playoffs. LSG have reached the playoff stage in the past two seasons since making their debut back in 2022.
Seeing Goenka have a go at Langer, Rahul didn't spend much time standing-by and decided to leave. Here's the video:

"I am lost for words. We have watched that kind of batting on tv. But this is unreal batting. Everything seemed to find the middle of the bat. Kudos to their skills. They have worked hard on their six hitting skills. They didn't give us a chance to know what the pitch played in the second innings."
"Was hard to stop them as they teed off from ball one. Once you are on the losing side, there are questions marks on the decisions taken. We were 40-50 runs short. When we lost wickets in the powerplay, we couldn't get any momentum. Ayush and Nicky batted well to get us to 166. But even if we would have got 240, they could have chased it as well," Rahul said after the match.
