INDIAN PREMIER LEAGUE 2019 POINTS TABLE

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019 got underway with a match between defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai on March 23. It is the 12th edition of the IPL, the inaugural season took place back in 2008. In the inaugural match of the ongoing IPL 2019, CSK defeated RCB by seven wickets to take two points and go on top of the IPL Points Table. Eight franchises are participating in the 12th edition of IPL. Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals, SunRisers Hyderabad, Mumbai Indians, Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals, Kings XI Punjab and Royal Challengers Bangalore are the eight franchises who will be vying for the IPL 2019 trophy. CSK and MI have been the most successful teams in IPL history with three titles each, while KKR have two IPL titles to their name. Each team will play 14 matches with the teams finishing on top 4 spots of the IPL Points Table qualifying for the play-offs. Every team will play seven matches at their home ground.
