One got to see the fiery side of Harbhajan Singh during Sunday night's Indian Premier League match between Mumbai Indians and Rising Pune Supergiants. Harbhajan's angry outburst after a misfield almost triggered an on-field confrontation with MI teammate Ambati Rayudu but only just.
It was in the fourth ball of the 10th over of the Rising Pune Supergiants innings. Saurabh Tiwary pulled a short ball from MI offie Harbhajan from wide of off-stump to the gap between deep mid-wicket and long-on. Rayudu and Tim Southee both converged on the ball but the former's dive guided the ball over the ropes.
Harbhajan, bowling his second over, was furious. He expressed his anger towards Rayudu like only Bhajji can. But Rayudu reciprocated with equal intensity, yelling back at the veteran bowler. It seemed all hell would break loose as Bhajji and Rayudu charged at each other.
However, it was Bhajji, who seemed to cool down in a flash. He comforted Rayudu by putting his arm around the young wicketkeeper-batsman.
But Rayudu snubbed his senior teammate's gesture and went back to his position an angry man.

"Well done, Bhajji," said Sanjay Manjrekar on TV. This surely was a different and very matured Harbhajan Singh.
The feisty Indian offie, who is not having a great IPL with defending champions Mumbai Indians - five wickets from nine matches - has been involved with controversies before.
In April 2008, Harbhajan, leading Mumbai Indians, allegedly slapped Kings XI Punjab pacer S. Sreesanth when the latter said something which the off-spinner found offensive.
