Suresh Raina is an Indian Premier League legend. He holds the record for playing in every IPL game since the start of the tournament in 2008. Not only has he played the most matches in the IPL, he is also the leading run-getter.
In 143 games, he has scored 3985 runs at an average of 33.48. In his first seven years for Chennai Super Kings, Raina was the stalwart as he turned up for the Men in Yellow in every game. Following the suspension of Chennai Super Kings, Raina became captain of the Gujarat Lions and has guided them to the top of the 2016 IPL with 14 points from 11 games.
However, Raina might miss an IPL game but not due to injury or disciplinary issues. The dashing left-hander could miss an IPL match as he is expecting to be a father soon. Following Gujarat Lions' five-wicket win over Kolkata Knight Riders, the skipper had mentioned in the post-match interview, "I'm flying to Holland to meet my wife tomorrow (May 9) and I'm all excited."
Raina had given a hint of his non-availability when he had tweeted a special Mother's Day message on his Twitter handle (@ImRaina)

Raina's non-availability could mean that Aaron Finch could lead Gujarat Lions in their next game against Royal Challengers Bangalore at the M Chinnaswamy stadium on May 14. He had gotten married to his childhood friend Priyanka Chaudhary in 2015.
