23:50 hrs IST: That's the end. Thank you for joining us. See you all tomorrow for the game between Delhi Daredevils and Rising Pune Supergiants. Until then, it's goodbye!ÂÂ
Andre Russell (Man of the Match): "I love to play here, the fans here are amazing. The last game against RCB, well done done to me and yusuf. But this match was important too and we bowled like champions."
Gautam Gambhir (KKR skipper): "We were not used to this kind of a wicket but I think did well and were pretty professional after that game in RCB. I think we were about 10 runs short. After playing at Wankhede and Banglaore, this was a touch slower."
Murali Vijay (KXIP skipper): "We didn't start well and for Maxi to put on a knock like that was unbelievable. Axar got run out at the wrong time but lot of positives for us to take. Our bowlers were upto the mark and Sandeep has been excellent but we needed a strong start with the bat."

19:08 hrs IST: Good evening and welcome to 32nd match of Indian Premier League season 9. Kolkata Knight Riders take on Kings XI Punjab at Eden Gardens tonight.

Kolkata Knight Riders have a chance to climb to the summit of the 2016 Indian Premier League after Delhi Daredevils thrashed Gujarat Lions on Tuesday. Gambhir's men are coming off a great win over Virat Kohli's Royal Challengers Bangalore and will be aiming to continue their superiority over Kings XI Punjab. In 18 games between these two nations, KKR have won 12 and lost six.
KKR's Problem of Plenty
KKR have plenty of depth in both batting and bowling. With Yusuf Pathan coming back to form in the previous match, their batting looks in great shape. With the pitch at the Eden expected to assist the spinners, one could see Brad Hogg or Shakib Al Hasan come back into the mix. However, there is one area of concern for Gambhir and that is the form of Sunil Narine. In the game against RCB, he had figures of 4-0-45-0 and he has not found any purchase with his remodelled action. If he gets back into form, KKR will be the complete team.

Promising Times For Murali Vijay's KXIP
The change of captaincy has worked for bottom-ranked Kings XI Punjab, who defeated top-ranked Gujarat Lions in their previous match. Vijay led from the front with the bat and he was assisted immensely by Axar Patel, who took a hat-trick.
KXIP still have issues with the batting, particularly the form of Glenn Maxwell. The middle order has struggled and if they click, then KXIP will still pose a challenge. If they defeat KKR in their own den, this could throw the entire IPL table open.
