After being put in to bat, Royal Challengers Bangalore got off to a good start but quick wickets in the middle dented the flow of runs. But in the end, cameos from both Sarfaraz Khan and Travis Head guided the tourists to 170/7. In reply, Rohit Sharma's 62 and a brisk innings from Kieron Pollard helped the hosts win the match by six wickets with 12 balls to spare. 19:08 hrs IST: Hello and welcome to the coverage of the 14th match of Indian Premier League season 9. Mumbai Hosts take on Royal Challengers Bangalore at Wankhede Stadium tonight. Having won their opening game against Sunrisers Hyderabad, the Virat Kohli led Bangalore side got outclassed by Quinton de Kock's magnificent hundred on Sunday. Mumbai Indians, on the other hand, have lost three of their four games and there seems to be an air of uncertainty around the team. However, both teams will look to bounce back and play their best cricket today.ÂÂ

There have been very few plusses for Mumbai Indians so far this season. The batting failures have left the team at the wrong end of results. Three losses in four games does not speak well of a team that has Ricky Ponting as head coach and Sachin Tendulkar as mentor.
Rohit Sharma's sketchy form has not helped. Martin Guptill will have to quickly fill the large gap left by Lendl Simmons and it is not going to be easy to replace a Lasith Malinga.
Of course, there have been a couple of bright spots. Krunal Pandya has done better than his much-talked about brother, Hardik. If Ponting is to be believed, Ambati Rayudu will have a longer run batting at No. 3.
With a win and a loss, RCB will look to take advantage of an edgy MI team. Virat Kohli's team will surely not miss an out-of-form Chris Gayle, who is in Jamaica celebrating the birth of his son. Shane Watson could open the RCB innings on a Wankhede pitch that traditionally helps batting.
But watch out for RCB superman, AB de Villiers. Wankhede is his happy hunting ground. Last season in May, De Villiers smashed a 59-ball 133 against a MI team that included Malinga, Jasprit Bumrah and Harbhajan Singh.
In the same match, Kohli scored an unbeaten 50-ball 82. Kohli and De Villiers produced an unbroken 215-run second wicket stand that still remains an IPL record. RCB beat MI by 39 runs in a high-scoring game. De Villiers has been in red-hot form this season too.
