Kolkata Knight Riders got off to a fabulous start in the 2016 Indian Premier League as they bowled out the Delhi Daredevils for a paltry score and register a thumping win.

Kolkata Knight Riders got their Indian Premier League off to a fabulous start with a thumping nine-wicket win over Delhi Daredevils at the Eden Gardens on Sunday. (IPL: KKR Crush DD)

KKR opted to field and they had the perfect start when Andre Russell snapped up three quick wickets at the top. Delhi Daredevils never recovered from those early blows and they sunk further when Brad Hogg also chipped in with three wickets. Quinton de Kock was the highest individual scorer for the Delhi Daredevils with 17 as they limped to a woeful 98.

Gautam Gambhir and Robin Uthappa gave KKR a great start as they romped home to a nine-wicket win.
