Arch cricket rivals India and Pakistan will square off yet again, this time in the final of the Under-19 Asia Cup at Sharjah Cricket Stadium today. The Indian team will be banking on captain Vijay Zol (in pic) and left-arm spinner Kuldeep Yadav to pull off an historic win.

Pakistan entered the final with a two-wicket victory over Afghanistan. After electing to bat Afghanistan were bundled out for 196 with leg-spinner Karamat Ali claiming a hat-trick to finish with five for 33. Sami Aslam marshaled the chase for Pakistan with a composed 75 and despite a late slide Pakistan reached the target with 10 balls to spare.

India earned their place in the final with an equally tense three-wicket win over Sri Lanka. Batting first, the Lankans were restricted by left-arm chinaman Kuldeep Yadav's three for 49 and posted 223. In the chase India were 159 for six at one stage but wicketkeeper Ankush Bains (54) ensured that the Boys in Blue reached the target with five balls to spare.

The two sides faced each other earlier in this edition, with Pakistan scrapping to a two-wicket win. Middle-order batsman Ricky Bhui's 64 off 66 balls help India post a stiff 251-run target. However Pakistan's Sami Aslam scored a magnificent century as Pakistan colts held their nerves to pull off a narrow win.

Any encounter between India and Pakistan has a lot riding on it. The senior sides last met in the 2013 Champions Trophy when the Indians eased to an eight-wicket win in a rain-affected game. However, prior to that, Pakistan toured India for a two T20 and 3 ODI series. The T20s were drawn 1-1 but Pakistan claimed the 50-over series 2-1.
