Current and former cricketers tore into Cuttack fans for their unruly crowd behaviour at the Barabati Stadium during India's six-wicket loss to South Africa in the second Twenty20 International.
Yuvraj Singh and Sunil Gavaskar were perhaps the most critical of them all. They said that crowd needs to respect their players and the game, even when they are losing.
"What a shame ! When we win all is good when we losing is that how u behave ? Pl show some respect to your players and respect the game," Yuvraj said on Twitter.

A surprised Faf du Plessis, in his post-match interview, said that hopefully it would be the first and last time he and his team would be seeing such scenes.
"It's not nice to see that (crowd behaviour). I've played five-six years of cricket in India. To have that happening, I don't think it's nice for cricket. It should not have happened and I just hope this is the first and last time in the tour," Du Plessis said.
"All around the world, people are passionate about their team and country. I've witnessed this first time in India. It's definitely to do with the passion. It was just a bad day in office," said the winning captain.
Former England skipper Michael Vaughan felt that Cuttack shouldn't be allowed to host international matches for a few years.
"Disgusting scenes in Cuttack.... So many Venues in India.... Easy punishment...Don't let them host internationals for a few years," said Vaughan.

Former India opener Gavaskar echoed similar sentiments. He blasted the Odisha police and stated that the ineffectiveness of the security staff meant that due to the misbehavior of a few fans, a lot of other genuine fans missed out on the entertainment.
"The police were standing there without any instructions. The police who are stationed on the boundary perimeter should not be watching cricket but they be monitoring the behavior of the fans," Gavaskar said in an exclusive interview to NDTV.
Former India opener Aakash Chopra said that there are "idiots" everywhere and some had made it to the ground.
How would you like if people threw bottles at you after a bad day at office? Idiots are everywhere...some have made it to the ground #IndvSA

WV Raman felt that it's the fans who make heroes out of the sportsmen, but they can't let country down by such behaviour.
"Fans make heroes out of sportsmen alright, but they can't let the country down with bad behaviour when their heroes let them down." (MS Dhoni Rues Batting Collapse After T20 Series Loss)
Fans got violent after India, who were asked to bat first, were shot out for just 92 in 17.2 overs -- their second lowest T20I score. Even though Ravichandran Ashwin did try his best by picking up three important wickets, but there wasn't enough runs on board as the Proteas cruised victory in spite of two long stoppages.
The incident took place in the 12th over, when fans vented their fury by throwing water bottles from the two-levels gallery three and four. (Cuttack Joins Hall of Shame in International Cricket)
Bottles are incidentally banned in most of the venues in India but an Odisha Cricket Association official said in Barabati Stadium the situation is different.
"We have banned small water bottles and water pouches which can travel more distance than a big size bottle which is not banned here," an OCA official had told PTI.
