Yuvraj Singh and Kevin Pietersen have had some of the most interesting duels on the field, but it seems as though the two cannot take their attention off each other even when they are out of action.
Pietersen, who has been embarrassingly dismissed by Yuvraj's left arm spinners in the past, took an aim at the southpaw on Twitter. "I see my mate @yuvsingh09 is out the tests.. No more chicken & mushrooms or steak & ales for me now. Pity! They tasted good in Notts! ha ha", referring to his absence from the remainder of the India-England series. Yuvraj, however was quick to respond and tweeted in reply, "@kevinpp24 hahaha..dont worry il be back with a new indian veg pie for you very soon !!", relating to the 'pie chucker' tag that the South Africa born batsman had given Yuvraj in the 2008 series.
The English middle-order batsman ensured that the conversation was kept in good spirit as he tweeted, "@yuvsingh09 haha.. Good comeback!! Like it.. See you this afternoon.."
Yuvraj has not travelled with the team as he has gone to see a hand specialist in London for an injury that he sustained in his left index finger during the Trent Bridge Test. It was confirmed on Wednesday that Virat Kohli join the team as his replacement.
