Virat Kohli's mantra for success is to stay as calm as possible. On Sunday, he scored an unbeaten 78 and claimed a wicket to help his side defeat Pakistan and earn the man-of-the-match award.
Crediting God and hard-work for his success against arch-rivals, Kohli said he wanted to remain composed before and during the match. " I wanted to be as calm and composed against Pakistan as possible. It is always an important match and I felt in the last game, I lost out. So it feels great to perform well today," he said at the post-match conference. " This is what T20 cricket is all about. It can change quickly. The only thing one can do is to keep the nerves in control. The key was to stay calm against a low total."
Kohli has been in sublime form for India but was removed on 15 against Australia, earlier this week. His team lost this match but bounced back to register an 8-wicket win versus Pakistan. Kohli's role was pivotal.
The Delhi batsman now has now scored more than 25 per-cent runs scored by all Indian batsmen in international cricket this year.
