India vs Australia 2nd Hockey Test Highlights: Jacob Whetton, Aran Zalewski Guide Kookaburras to Victory

After the thrilling 2-2 draw against world No. 1 Australia in the first Test, India would hope to improve upon their previous game's performance in the second game of the three-match series. Catch all the live updates here (All Times in IST):

20:00 hrs IST:  And it's OVER! Disappointment for India as they go down 1-2 to Australia. Devinder Walmiki gave hosts the lead, before Jacob Whetton and Aran Zalewski scored in quick succession to help the Kookaburras take 1-0 lead in the three-match series. The first game of the match was drawn. 

19:57 hrs IST:  Frustrations creeping in now for India as VR Raghunath gets yellow card for his push on Australian player. 

19:36 hrs IST:  GOAL!!!! Australia, who were looked in attacking mode in the fourth quarter have their wish fulfilled with two successive goals to now lead 2-1. First Jacob Whetton equalised for Kookaburras with a deflected field goal. Couple of minutes later, Aran Zalewski gave them the lead with yet another deflected goal. It's 2-1 in Australia's favour for now with just five minutes remaining. 

19:36 hrs IST:  Sreejesh has been brilliant today for India with some good saves when it mattered. Ramandeep at the other end misses another golden opportunity to stretch India's lead as a heavy touch causes the ball to deflect it past him.

19:32 hrs IST:  An animated coach Roelant Oltmans is shouting instructions from the sideline perhaps asking his players to attack a bit more with the third quarter just about to end in five minutes.

19:26 hrs IST:  Akashdeep Singh gets a golden opportunity to extend India's lead. But a deflection has the ball wide. Moments later Australia had their best chance at the opposite end but couldn't capitalise on India's defensive lapse as Jacob Whetton puts one wide.  

19:20 hrs IST:  Australia did improve upon there possession but have missed their chances to score compared to India. India head coach Roelant Oltmans expects a better display from his team and expects them to convert the half chances. He also believes India need to tighten their defence.

19:15 hrs IST:  End of second quarter with India leading 1-0! Devindar Walmiki scores in the eight minute of the second quarter he was present at the right place at the right time to give India lead.   

19:09 hrs IST:  Second penalty corner for Australia with just 2:40 minutes left in the second quarter! Golden opportunity for the visitors. Tristian White disappoints as Australia fail to put the ball past India's defence.

19:05 hrs IST:  IT's GOAL!!!! Devinder Walmiki breaks the deadlock as he scores to give India the lead. With Just five minutes remaining in the second quarter, Walmiki puts his stick out to guide the ball in between  Australia's goalie Leon Hayward's legs to give hosts the lead. 

19:02 hrs IST:  Back to Chattisgarh! First penalty corner in favour of Australia. A firm push from Australia's Christopher Cirilieo is save brilliantly by PR Sreejesh.

18:58 hrs IST:  In Kuntan, Malaysia, India have taken a 4-1 lead with Arman Qureshi scoring for India in the 44th minute.

18:53 hrs IST:  That's the end of the first quarter. A goal-less one so far. India have had the best chance so far with atleast two clear cut chance. Australia, for their top rank status has rather looked subdued and will look to press on in the second. 

18:52 hrs IST:  India have been dominant both in terms of possession and shots on goal compared to Australia. 68 to 32 in favour of India in terms of possession of the ball and have had two shots on goal so far. 

18:48 hrs IST:  This is good pressure game from the hosts as Leon Hayward is forced to make yet another save with a back flick from Ramandeep Singh.

18:42 hrs IST:  Five minutes into the game and both teams are testing each other out with some slick moves. India had a great chance to take an early lead only for Sunil to miss an easy chance. India on the counter-attack looked certain to take the lead before Australia's goalie Leon Hayward rushed forward to make fine save.

18:31 hrs IST:  Back to Chattisgarh where both India and Australian players are warming up and ready to go. Crowd is good considering its a Sunday's match at the Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel International Stadium.

18:26 hrs IST:  Meanwhile in Kuantan, Malaysia Indian team is leading arch rivals Pakistan  2-0 during the summit clash of the Asia Cup. Harmanpreet Singh scored a brace to put India ahead. 

18:23 hrs IST:  We are moments away from the second game of the three-match series against India and Australia. India had squandared a golden opportunity to go 1-0 up in the opening game.

India will have to thank VR Raghunath for helping them stay alive in the first Test against Australia in Rajnandgaon on Friday. His brace allowed India to draw the match 2-2 and emerge the more confident of the sides. (1st Test Highlights)

Heading into the second Test, India chief coach Roelant Oltmans said they had addressed the shortcomings after the end of the match.

"It was a good game, but the last minute encroachment by the opponents into our area only exposed the areas we still need to take control of," Oltmans said. "We have addressed the concern areas and our hopeful of a better show."

India will have to be compact in their defence if they have to get through against Australia. The first match in Rajnandgaon saw a good response and similar is expected in the second Test at the newly inaugurated Sardar Vallabhai Patel stadium in Raipur.
