Sports Minister M S Gill on Sunday congratulated Indian hockey team for finishing joint winners in the Sultan Azlan Shah tournament in Ipoh, Malaysia amsgill.jpgnd promised more support for the players.

India shared the winners trophy with South Korea as the summit showdown was called off after six minutes of play due to rain.

"Well done India. I congratulate Rajpal and his boys. I can see Indian hockey is on the rise. They will have every support from me," Gill said in his message to the team.

This is India's fifth title in the tournament, which saw joint winners for the first time since its inception in 1983.
