Alejandro Canizares of Spain shot a record 22-under 266 to win the Russian Open and take his first European Tour title on Sunday.
Canizares made seven birdies in the final round to win by four strokes over runner-up David Drysdale of Scotland.
Drysdale shot 69 for an 18-under 270 at Moscow's Le Meridien Golf and Country Club.
"I didn't expect to win at all. I was confident in my abilities but I didn't think my first victory would come so quickly," Canizares said.
Defending champion Mikael Lundberg of Sweden, who had a hole-in-one on the 197-yard, par-3 8th hole, tied Irishman Gary Murphy for third place at 17 under. (AP)
