Somdev Devvarman through to main draw of French Open
Somdev will take on Spaniard Daniel Munoz-De La Nava in the first round of the main draw.
Paris:
India's Somdev Devvarman qualified for the main draw of the men's singles event at the French Open here on Friday.
Somdev defeated eighth seed Wayne Odesnik of the United States 6-3 6-4 in the third and final qualifying round at the Rolland Garros.
Somdev will now take on Spaniard Daniel Munoz-De La Nava in the first round of the main draw.
Somdev had earlier defeated Italian Matteo Viola 6-4 1-6 6-4 in his first qualifying round before prevailing over Quentin Halys of France 7-6 6-3 in the next round.
