Monte Carlo: They're given to couples but rarely found in cars. For McLaren Mercedes' 40th anniversary, the Formula One team has successfully developed a diamond-encrusted steering wheel. Finnish driver Kimi Raikkonen was on hand in Monte Carlo on Wednesday to mark the occasion - lowering himself into a replica car made from ice. Last year the manufacturer auctioned off special diamond helmets, and chairman Ron Dennis says the jewel idea's a winner. "The idea of having diamonds on the drivers helmets worked very very well, regarding having something at the end of the process that we could use to raise funds for charity. Therefore I think it had to be something different but something at the same time unique," said Dennis.
