US women to play Sweden, Canada

The US women's team has scheduled home friendlies against Sweden and Canada for July.

The US women's team has scheduled home friendlies against Sweden and Canada for July. The United States will play the Swedes on July 15 in Blaine, Minnesota, and the Canadians on July 30 in Cary, North Carolina. Sweden was the runner-up to Germany at the 2003 World Cup. The team beat the United States 3-1 in the last meeting between the nations, at the 2004 Algarve Cup. Overall, the Americans are 12-5-3 against the Swedes, and 29-3-3 all-time against Canada. (AP)
