US President Donald Trump has a busy sports weekend ahead. On Sunday, the White House will host a UFC event. But before that, it is time for the FIFA World Cup, which returns to US soil on Saturday with a Group D match between co-hosts USA and Paraguay

United States star Christian Pulisic said the World Cup co-hosts are "ready to battle" on soccer's biggest stage as they prepare for a potentially bruising opener against Paraguay on Friday.

Christian Pulisic ended his goal drought and Folarin Balogun rifled in the winner as a much-improved United States beat Senegal 3-2 in a pre-World Cup friendly in Charlotte on Sunday.

It was an eighth defeat in a row for the US against European sides.

USA playmaker Christian Pulisic scored twice in 10 minutes on Monday as AC Milan came from behind to edge Torino 3-2 to move to the summit of Serie A.
