Ravindra Jadeja and KL Rahul turned out to be the star performers as India secured a psychological victory in their second practice game against WICB President's XI, played at St Kitts.
Resuming their innings from 26/1, WICB President's XI suffered an early setback as Jadeja got rid of John Campbell, who looked good for his 31. Shai Hope soon followed him courtesy a brilliant catch by Virat Kohli at short fine-leg on bowling of R Ashwin.
Jermaine Blackwood, Vishaul Singh and Montcin Hodge then opted a safety first approach as the hosts somehow managed to pull off a draw. Blackwood, who has been a regular member of the West Indies' Test team from the past one and a half years or so, scored a gritty 51 while the other two batsmen scored 39 each.
Earlier, led by Jadeja and Ashwin, India dismantled the hosts for just 180 in the first innings. Then riding on fifties from Rahul, Kohli and Jadeja, India posted a total of 364, taking a first innings lead of 184 runs.
The first Test between India-West Indies gets underway from July 21 at Antigua.ÂÂ
