India have recalled Madhya Pradesh wicketkeeper batsman Naman Ojha for the fourth Test against England, as replacement for the injured Wriddhiman Saha, said BCCI secretary Sanjay Patel.
India lost the third match in Southampton on Thursday by 266 runs.
Ojha had been on tour in Australia with the India A team and has been in remarkable form, scoring three back-to-back hundreds Down Under. He smashed 219, 101 not out and 110, averaging 430 runs in three innings.
"I don't know how to express my feelings, an elated Ojha said. "To play a Test match is a matter of great pride for all cricketers. I am extremely lucky to have been selected in the team and if I get the chance to play for India, I will try to give it my best."
Ojha had earlier made a brief appearance during the India tour of Zimbabwe in 2010. He made his One-Day International (ODI) debut against Sri Lanka at Harare on June 5, 2010, but his innings lasted seven balls and he scored only one run. In the IPL, he batted well for Sunrisers Hyderabad throughout the tournament
