India and Baroda's star all-rounder Yusuf Pathan is all set to tie the knot later this month. Yusuf got engaged to Mumbai-based physiotherapist Afreen on March 24 last year at their farmhouse in Nadiad. ÂÂ
The wedding is on March 27 in Mumbai, it has been reported by the Times of India. A close family friend of the Pathans says, "On the evening of March 24, there is dawat at Yusuf's residence for family members and very close relatives. The famous mouth-watering biryani prepared at their residence will be one of the highlights of the evening. On March 26, the baraat will leave for Mumbai, where the wedding is set to take place the next day."
Speaking about the reception, the source also adds, "It hasn't been finalized yet. Once they are back from Mumbai, there are plans to host a grand reception. It will be held either at a posh hotel in Vadodara or at their farmhouse in Nadiad."

A friend of Yusuf had then confirmed about the proceedings and said, "Only a select few friends and both families were present. His brother Irfan was also present."
Afreen has been born and brought up in Mumbai but practises physiotherapy in Vadodara. It is an arranged marriage and the match was decided after both families met.
Out of Indian team contention for a while now, Yusuf is plotting his way back. He has been in decent form in the domestic circuit, playing in typical attacking fashion. With the Indian Premier League (IPL 6) on the horizon now, Yusuf would definitely want some 'nuptial luck'.
Yusuf and Irfan both have been unavailable for comment as of now. Since the engagement too was a quiet affair, even the wedding could go that route. Considering Yusuf's batting exploits though, which are extremely attacking, one would hope that even the wedding is as grand!
