Chris Gayle has blown several bowlers to smithereens with his batting skills. So when his own bowling was taken apart by a certain David Miller, it was a 'bitter' realization for the Jamaican.

Hailing Miller's aggressive knock of 103 not out in the match between Kings XI Punjab and Royal Challengers Bangalore last week, Gayle wrote in his newspaper column watching the South African bat was much like looking at himself in a mirror.
"It's never fun to get a taste of your own medicine. It was almost like looking in a mirror to be honest, the way Miller kept taking his chances and the manner in which he was striking the ball. A painful lesson, but hey that's cricket!"
Gayle has once again etched his name at the top of the list of batsmen with most runs in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League. His 570 runs - second behind Michael Hussey (574) as on Sunday morning - includes a hurricane knock of 175* off 66.
The Bangalore all-rounder though wrote that it was Millers knock that made him empathise with bowlers in this format. "In a way, I could emphatise with a lot of bowlers as I was left saying to myself 'so that's what it feels like to be on the receiving end of a hammering'." Gayle was hit for a six by Miller to complete a spectacular and improbable win in Mohali.
The 33-year-old Jamaican though is glad that his team has been able to pull off wins at other venues and has managed to retain its place in the top-four of the points table.
