We are banking on BCCI: Ranatunga

Ranatunga who has just taken over as the president of the Sri Lankan cricket board says he plans to ask the BCCI for a loan.

Sri Lanka were perhaps extra supportive of India during the Harbhajan issue even threatening to pull out of the tri series if required.

Arjuna Ranatunga has now confirmed the worst kept secret; he says Sri Lankan cricket is virtually broke.

Ranatunga who has just taken over as the president of the cricket board says they've been surviving on a six million dollar bank over draft, and plan to ask the BCCI for a loan.

TEN Sports $50 million or Rs 200 crore television deal for cricket in Sri Lanka ends next year.
