England bowler Graham Onions is struggling to be available for the fifth Ashes Test against Australia after breaking the little finger in his right hand during a county match. (Read: England win Ashes series)
Durham says Onions, who narrowly missed out on selection for the fourth Test, is not certain to be fit for an English County Championship match against Surrey starting August 22 - the day after the fifth Test begins. (Related: 'Greedy' Alastair Cook hungry for more Ashes glory)
Onions broke his finger as he attempted to catch the ball off his own bowling during Durham's limited-overs match against Scotland on Sunday.
