Technical snag delays sale of IPL tickets in Chennai

The sale of Indian Premier League tickets for the matches have been delayed by an hour in Chennai. The sale of tickets was supposed to start at 10 AM IST today. Local police say the delay in ticket sales was caused by a technical snag.

Yesterday, the IPL governing council decided that no Sri Lankan players, officials or backroom staff will be involved with IPL 6 action in Chennai, the capital of Tamil Nadu, due to anti-Lankan political unrest in the state. Although, the BCCI did make it clear that the security of the players in other states will be paramount.
