# For the first time in Tests, Sachin Tendulkar has posted fifty-plus in nine Tests in a row between December 2009 and October 2010.  

# Suresh Raina (86) has averaged 103.00, aggregating 309, including one hundred and two fifties.

# Tendulkar's tally of eight innings in the nervous nineties has been bettered only by Rahul Dravid (10), Steve Waugh (10) and Michael Slater (9).
#  Mitchell Johnson (5/64) has claimed five wickets in an innings for the first time against India - his sixth instance overall in Tests.

# Johnson became the first Australian bowler to bag five wickets in an innings at PCA Stadium, Mohali.

# Johnson has overtaken Bill Johnston's tally of 160 in 40 Tests.  His tally of 163 wickets (ave.28.38) in 37 Tests  is now the second best by a left-armer for Australia.

Alan Davidson is the leading left-arm Australian bowler with most wickets - 186 in 44 Tests.

# Harbhajan Singh has recorded his fifth duck against Australia - his 16th in Tests.

# Tendulkar has been involved in seventy eight 100-plus partnerships - a tally bettered only by Rahul Dravid (82) and Ricky Ponting (79) in Tests. 

# Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid became the third Test pair to amass 6000 runs or more - 6076 in 120 innings at an average of 52.83, joining Gordon Greenidge and Desmond Haynes (6482) and Matthew Hayden and Justin Langer (6081).

# The 79-run partnership between Tendulkar and Dravid is their 41st stand of 50-plus - 18 century stands and 23 fifty-plus. 

# The aforesaid stand is India's highest against Australia for the fourth wicket at Mohali.

# Ishant Sharma has recorded his highest innings in India, bettering the 14 not out against South Africa at Kanpur in April 2008.
 
# Rahul Dravid (77) has posted his 59th fifty - his 12th against Australia and the 25th at home. 

# Dravid, with 722 runs in 9 Tests at an average of 60.16 at PCA Stadium, Mohali, including two centuries and four fifties is the top scorer.

# Dravid's 77 off 134 balls is his maiden fifty against Australia at Mohali, surpassing the 39 in October 2008.

# In the course of his 98 off 189  balls, Sachin became the leading run-getter in Tests in 2010, aggregating 965 at an average of 87.72 in eight Tests. 

# Tendulkar's 57th Test fifty is his 12th against Australia.
