# Rahul Dravid and Sachin Tendulkar were involved in a 100-run stand for the third wicket, extending their world record to 19.

# The 113-run partnership for the first wicket between Virender Sehwag and Gambhir is the ninth of 100 or more in Tests between Sehwag and Gambhir.

# Sehwag is the leading run-getter at Jamtha, Nagpur -  357 at an average of 71.40 in five innings, including one hundred and three fifties.

# Gautam Gambhir (78 off 127 balls) has posted his 13th Test fifty - his third against New Zealand.

# McCullum took his run-aggregate to 733 (ave.81.44) in six Tests this year, including three hundreds and two fifties - the highest by a New Zealander this year.

# Tim Southee (38) has posted his highest innings against India,

# Southee's aforesaid knock is his highest away from home

# Ishant Sharma (4/43) has recorded his best bowling performance against New Zealand, eclipsing the 4 for 73 at Hamilton in March 2009.

# Pragyan Ojha, for the first time, has captured ten wickets in a Test series at an average of 38.20.

# Virender Sehwag (74 off 73 balls) has taken his runs' tally in the current rubber to 398 at an averge of 99.50 in five innings - the most by any batsman in the present series, bettering Brendon McCullum's tally of 345 (ave.86.25).

# Sehwag has amassed 4003 runs in India in 71 innings (41 Tests) at an average of 58.86, including twelve hundreds and 16 fifties.

# Sehwag is  the fourth player after Sachin Tendulkar (6543), Rahul Dravid (5157) and Sunil Gavaskar (5067) to amass 4,000 runs or more in India.

# Sehwag has recorded his 26th Test fifty - his third against New Zealand.

# Gambhir and Dravid were involved in a stand of 79 - the highest partnership for the second wicket at this venue,  

# Rahul Dravid became the first player to reach 1500 runs in India-New Zealand Tests - 1537 at an average of 61.48 in 15 Tests.

# Sachin Tendulkar has become the second batsman to aggregate 1500 runs against New Zealand  - 1528 at an average of 50.93 in 21 Tests.

# Sachin has recorded his 59th Test fifty - his eighth against New Zealand.

# Sachin (1392 in 19 innings (12 Tests) at an average of 87.00) has  emulated his previous best runs tally of 1392 (ave.55.68) in 16 Tests in 2002.

# Dravid has posted 30 hundreds and 60 fifties in Tests.  His tally of 60 fifties is exceeded only by Allan Border (63).
