# Kyle Mills (52) has posted his second highest knock against India - his best ever is 54 off 32 balls at Christchurch on March 8, 2009.  These are his only fifties in ODIs.

# Mills has emulated Brendon McCullum's New Zealand's feat of two fifties at number nine.  McCullum had recorded both his fifties at number nine against Australia.

#  Virender Sehwag has amassed 5018 for winning cause at an average of 46.03 in 118 matches, including 12 centuries  and 27 fifties.

# Sehwag has got the Man of the Match award for the 21st time in ODIs - his sixth against New Zealand and the 13th overall.

# Tim Southee (4/49) has recorded his best bowling performance against India.

# Southee has taken four wickets in an innings  once each against Australia, England and India.

# Sehwag became the fourth player to post 1000 fours or more in Tests as well as ODIs, joining Sachin Tendulkar, Ricky Ponting and Brian Lara.

# Gareth Hopkins has taken four catches for the first time against India.  Hopkins had taken five catches against Ireland at Aberdeen on July 1, 2008, which is his career-best performance in an innings.

# Sehwag and Dhoni were involved in a partnership of 107   for the fifth wicket - India's best against New Zealand, eclipsing the 92 between Sandip Patil and Dilip Vengsarkar at Brisbane on January 18, 1981.

# Nathan McCullum (3/35) has recorded his career-best bowling performance, eclipsing the 1 for 23 against Sri Lanka at Dambulla on August 13, 2010.
