  • Mahendra Singh Dhoni (58 not out off 37 balls) has recorded his first fifty in the second edition of the IPL - his third overall.

  • Adam Gilchrist and Herschelle Gibbs have produced the third occasion when both the openers have recorded ducks in the same innings in the IPL.

  • The first two pairs were: Parthiv Patel and Stephen Fleming for Chennai against Rajasthan at Jaipur in the first edition and Graeme Smith and Swapnil Asnodkar for Rajasthan against Hyderabad at Port Elizabeth on May 2, 2009.

  • Dwayne Smith (49) has recorded his highest ever score in the IPL, surpassing the 48 against Delhi at Centurion Park on April 30, 2009.

  • Shadab Jakati (4/22) has registered his best figures in Twenty20. In his previous game against Delhi, he had captured 4 for 24 at Johannesburg.

  • Jakati enjoys an outstanding record in the Twenty20, claiming 14 wickets in only eight games at an average of 11.57. His economy rate (5.78) and strike rate (12.0) are quite impressive.

  • Jakati, with his second five-wicket haul, has emulated Abdulla's feat of producing two four-wicket hauls in the second edition of the IPL.

  • Suresh Raina, with 685 runs at an average of 38.05, including four fifties, in 23 games, is the leading run-getter in the IPL overall.

  • Chennai Super Kings became the fifth side to post four wins in the second edition of the IPL. With this victory, they are on top of the points table with nine points.

  • Hayden and Vijay put on 61 - Chennai's highest against Deccan Chargers, surpassing the 26 between Stephen Fleming and Parthiv Patel at Hyderabad on May 27, 2008.
