Adam Gilchrist has become the top run-scorer in the IPL, making 846 at an average of 31.33, surpassing Suresh Raina's tally of 835.

RP Singh, by claiming Jacques Kallis' wicket, became the first bowler to capture 20 wickets in the IPL 2009 at an average of 18.40 runs in 14 games.

Herschelle Gibbs (60 off 43 balls) has recorded his third fifty in the IPL.

Gibbs, during the course of his aforesaid innings,
has completed his 300 runs in the second edition of the IPL 2009, aggregating 318 at an average of 31.80, including three fifties in 12 matches.

Manish Pandey is the first Indian batsman to post a century in the IPL. He became the first player from Royal Challengers Bangalore and the eighth in the IPL to post a century. The six batsmen who had recorded hundreds last year were - Shaun Marsh, Brendon McCullum, Andrew Symonds, Michael Hussey, Sanath Jayasuriya and Adam Gilchrist. Abraham de Villiers and Manish Pandey have registered centuries in the IPL 2009.

Manish Pandey's unbeaten 114 off 73 balls is his highest innings in Twenty20 - his maiden century.
