# Under Sourav Ganguly's captaincy, Zaheer had bagged 130 wickets in 88 games at an average of 27.32, including six instances of four wickets in an innings.
 
# Yuvraj Singh has taken three catches in New Zealand's innings.
 
# Yuvraj's only other instance of three catches in an innings was recorded against South Africa at Colombo RPS on September 25, 2002.
 
# Franklin and Nathan McCullum were involved in a stand of 94 - New Zealand's highest for the eighth wicket against India, eclipsing the 43 between Daniel Vettori and Dion Nash at Colombo (RPS) on July 26, 2001.
 
# The above stand, in fact, is New Zealand's partnership record for the eighth wicket in ODIs, outstripping the 79 between Scott Styris and Daniel Vettori against Zimbabwe at Harare on August 31, 2005.
 
# Nathan McCullum (43) has posted his career-best innings in ODIs, surpassing the 36 against Sri Lanka at Dambulla on August 13, 2010.
 
# India have posted their fourth bilateral series win in a row over New Zealand in India, maintaining 100% record.  India's previous bilateral series victories in India were 4-0 in 1988-89, 3-2 in 1995-96, 3-2 in 1999-00. New Zealand have failed to win a bilateral series win in India.
 
# India, with their nine-wicket win, have equalled their biggest victory over New Zealand.   India had defeated New Zealand by 9 wickets at Nagpur on October 31, 1987.
