Sreesanth to lead Kerala in KCA Trophy

Fast bowler S Sreesanth has been named as the captain of Kerala cricket team for the all-India KCA Trophy to be held in Bangalore from August 1 to 15.

Fast bowler S Sreesanth has been named as the captain of Kerala cricket team for the all-India KCA Trophy to be held in Bangalore from August 1 to 15.

Rohan Prem will be Sreesanth's deputy in the 15-member Kerala squad for the event, organised by the Karnataka Cricket Association.

The selection committee wanted a team with a combination of youth and experience, chief selector of Kerala Cricket Association, Gopakumar said.

Tinu Yohannan, Sony Cheruvathur and Sreekumaran Nair have been rested for the tournament, he said.

Team: S Sreesanth (captain), Sambasiva Sarma, Abhishek Hegde, Sebastian Antony, Robert Fernandes, Rohan Prem (vice-captain), Raiphi Vincent Gomes, Rakesh K J, Tejas (wicketkeeper), P Prasanth, Prasanth Parameswaran, Sanuth, Praveen Achuthan, Sreejith and Manu Krishnan.
