Indore:
After spending 19 months out of the national team for various reasons, Sreesanth's career on Tuesday got a fresh lease of life after being included in the 15-member Test squad.
Sreesanth said he would try to curb his on-field aggression and antics, which has often landed him in trouble.
"I had to wait nearly 19 months to make a comeback to the Indian side. I have changed a lot in these 19 months. I am looking forward to start my career afresh with the Lanka series and also prove the selectors right in picking me," Sreesanth, told reporters here.
Sreesanth is leading the Kerala side against Madhya Pradesh in a Ranji Trophy Plate Division match.
"I will now focus on cricket only, all other things are secondary. I will give my 100 per cent and help the team win against Sri Lanka if I play in the series. I will try not to repeat the mistakes committed earlier," he said.
Sreesanth, who had taken 50 wickets in 14 Tests, has also set himself a few targets in his new innings.
"My target now is to first get 100 Test wickets. It will be a long journey but I will do my best to earn each wicket." Sreesanth said he has recovered from his back injury completely and ready to take on the Lankans.
