Sourav Ganguly Plans to Get a Bit of Lord's In Eden Gardens
Sourav Ganguly has happy memories of Lord's and he has decided to borrow the historic Bell, which was rung by Rahul Dravid in 2014 during the England-India Test, to transform the Eden Gardens.

Sourav Ganguly has happy memories of Lord's. He made his Test debut against England in 1996 and scored a century. Fast forward to 2002 and Ganguly had another memorable moment that left a lasting impression on Indian fans.
Chasing 326 in the Natwest Tri-series final, Ganguly contributed 60 vital runs as India chased down the huge target thanks to Yuvraj Singh and Mohammad Kaif. Ganguly celebrated by whipping off his shirt and whirling it on the players' balcony. He proceeded to run through the Long Room to kiss the Lord's turf.
With such wonderful memories, it is no surprise that Ganguly's love for Lord's lingers. So much so, that the Cricket Association of Bengal president is ready to bring in a piece of Lord's history at the Eden Gardens.
The historic venue is all set to get a 'bell' like the one that hangs at Lord's, Ganguly announced.The bell is rung to signify the imminent start of play.
It has become a great honour to be invited to ring it on the morning of a Test match and Ganguly had the privilege of doing it once in 2014.
"Yes, we are getting such a bell which will be installed at the Eden Gardens. Every morning, it will be rung by a cricketer from either side or ex-players. The bell is being imported and should be in place by September," the former India skipper told reporters.
A 'Fan Zone' will also be created where kids can play and spend time with their families starting from the India-New Zealand Test match in September.
