Karachi:
Sohail said in an interview that he was fed up of hearing Butt trying to distort facts and not telling the truth about the financial and other affairs of the board.
"Butt claims that during his tenure he has saved millions of rupees for the board unlike the previous boards but he should tell the truth how the savings have come about," Sohail said.
"The cuts in the budget have been made at the cost of development programmes of the national cricket academy which is affecting the growth of young talent, domestic cricket but the salaries and perks being drawn by top officials of the board remain the same," Sohail said.
Sohail, who resigned as Director Game Development and head of the National Cricket Academy earlier this year after differences with Butt said that the cut in the budget were made at the cost of the sport.
He noted that the administrative expenses of the board remained the same.
"I am ready to face Mr Ejaz Butt in a televised debate on the board affairs and I will then highlight the facts. Since resigning I have tried to keep quiet but the way facts are being distorted it is frustrating," he said.
