New Delhi:
Pakistan's former pace bowler Shoaib Akhtar, who announced his retirement during the recently concluded World Cup, has said that the greatest regret of his life has been his team's semi-final loss to India at Mohali.
Although Akhtar did not figure in the playing XI in the power-packed match that eventually saw the visitors lose in the final over, he was quoted by the website of the International Cricket Council as saying that a defeat to India always hurt whether on the field or off it.
The 'Rawalpindi Express' also expressed that playing for his country was his biggest achievement, although he has reportedly been chosen for the Sri Lankan T20 league as well.
