Prithvi Shaw | 2 | 5 | 0 | 0 | 40 |
c David Miller b Jaydev Unadkat
2 OUT! CAUGHT AT POINT! Not today for Prithvi Shaw as Jaydev Unadkat gets him. Brilliant slower delivery from Unadkat and this is turning out to be a brilliant start from Rajasthan. Slower ball around off, Shaw fails to pick it and looks to heave it to the leg side but gets a leading edge which goes towards Miller at point who takes it comfortably. 5/1

|||||
Shikhar Dhawan | 9 | 11 | 1 | 0 | 81.81 |
c Sanju Samson b Jaydev Unadkat
3.1 OUT! CAUGHT BEHIND! Is that a bird? Is that Superman? No, it is the Rajasthan skipper, Sanju Samson. What a catch from the skipper to send the man-in-form back to the pavilion. Just terrific. Rajasthan are off to a brilliant start in this game. Good length ball around middle, Dhawan shuffles across and looks to paddle but it takes the edge, hits the gloves and goes to the right of Samson. He dives to that side and plucks it out of thin air with his right hand. Simply superb. 16/2

Ajinkya Rahane | 8 | 8 | 1 | 0 | 100 |
c & b Jaydev Unadkat
5.5 OUT! CAUGHT! Wonderful bowling from Unadkat and he gets the better of his former skipper. Rahane is out of here and he has been completely outfoxed by the wits and delusion of Unadkat. A deceptive slower delivery. Unadkat takes pace off the ball but disguises it so well that it gets the better of the experienced Rahane as well. Rahane comes down the track to take on the attack to Unadkat. He misreads the slower one and ends up chipping it back to Unadkat. Jaydev makes no mistakes and takes the dolly with ease. Delhi in world of trouble here. Rajasthan have dominated the Powerplayl 36/3

Rishabh Pant C Wk | 51 | 32 | 9 | 0 | 159.37 |
run out (Riyan Parag)
12.4 OUT! RUN OUT! What a piece of fielding from Riyan Parag! Rishabh Pant knows his fate and has already started to walk back before the third umpire's decision. Yes, he is a goner. Brilliant piece of work from Parag. Loopy ball on middle, Pant works it to the side of the pitch on the leg side and takes off for a single. Parag goes after it, collects and has a shy at the bowler's end and hits. The umpire takes it upstairs but Pant knows that he is a goner and the replays confirm the same. 88/5

Marcus Stoinis | 5 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
c Jos Buttler b Mustafizur Rahman
6.5 OUT! CAUGHT! Stoinis joins the trio of Shaw, Dhawan and Rahane back in the hut. The Hulk departs without even troubling the scorers and Delhi are in a massive puddle here. Another slower one and this time it gets the wicket it deserves. Buttler dropped one in the last game but now he has taken a very good catch. Slower ball once again. There is no fizz on this delivery from Fizz. He once again rolls his wrists like Muralitharan. It is on off. Stoinis is taken aback by the lack of pace on it. He checks his defense and ends up lobbing it behind short cover. Buttler runs behind, slides, and takes a very good catch. 37/4
|
|||||
Lalit Yadav | 20 | 24 | 3 | 0 | 83.33 |
c Rahul Tewatia b Chris Morris
14.5 OUT! CAUGHT! Great running catch from Rahul Tewatia! Excellent! Slower ball on middle, Lalit looks to go over mid on and it seems that it will clear it but Tewatia runs back, keeps his eyes on the ball and takes a very good catch. 100/6
|
|||||
Tom Curran | 21 | 16 | 2 | 0 | 131.25 |
b Mustafizur Rahman
18.2 OUT! BOWLED! Superb comeback from Mustafizur! He has the last laugh and this is a top-class ball. Once again Mustafizur rolls his wrists and makes the batter turn back to the dugout. It is almost a yorker on middle and off. Tom Curran looks to flick but the ball comes slower, sneaks under Tom's bat and hits the stumps. 128/7

run out (David Miller / Sanju Samson)
19 OUT! RUN OUT! Smart thinking from Miller, he sends the throw at the keeper's end and Ashwin was relatively slow and has been caught for his lack of speed and a bit of awareness. Fullish ball outside off, Ashwin plays it to the right of sweeper cover. Woakes calls for the second as he is at the danger end but Miller sends a very good throw close to the stumps at the keeper's end. Samson whips the bails off and Ashwin is found wanting. 136/8

c Rishabh Pant b Chris Woakes
3 OUT! CAUGHT! Woakes wins the battle of Englishmen and wow what a beauty it is from Woakes. Buttler was getting frustrated as runs were not coming. Woakes bowls the Test match length around off. It pitches outside off, Buttler comes down the track. The ball hits the deck and nips back in. Buttler looks to defend but the ball takes the inside edge, goes to the left of Pant. The Delhi skipper dives and takes a very good one-handed catch. 13/2

Manan Vohra | 9 | 11 | 2 | 0 | 81.81 |
c Kagiso Rabada b Chris Woakes
2.4 OUT! CAUGHT! Woakes has the last laugh! Two very good shots but then a poor one and that results in the demise of Vohra. Once again he looks good out in the middle but his stay is a brief one yet again. Pace on this time from Woakes. He goes fuller and with pace on middle and off. Vohra looks to hit it over mid on but the ball comes quicker this time and it hits the lower part of his bat. It goes high in the air behind mid on. Rabada there makes no mistake. Early wicket for Delhi and that is what they wanted. 13/1

Sanju Samson C Wk | 4 | 3 | 1 | 0 | 133.33 |
c Shikhar Dhawan b Kagiso Rabada
3.3 OUT! CAUGHT! Rabada gets the last laugh and it has taken him just three deliveries to get his first victim of the season. The dangerous, the talisman, the man-in-form, the skipper, Sanju Samson departs and Rajasthan are in all sorts of trouble here. 3 wickets in the last 6 balls. Length ball outside off, it is a straight ball. Samson falls in the honey trap. He goes for the drive but gets an outside edge which goes to Dhawan at slip. He makes no mistake and brings out his trademark, thigh-fi celebration. Massive blow for Rajasthan and this is incredible start for Delhi. 17/3

Shivam Dube | 2 | 7 | 0 | 0 | 28.57 |
c Shikhar Dhawan b Avesh Khan
7.4 OUT! CAUGHT AT FIRST SLIP! Another one falls and Rajasthan are in complete tatters at the moment! Avesh Khan gets a wicket. Good length ball around off, Dube looks to drive but does not move his feet at all. It takes the outside edge and goes to first slip where Dhawan takes the catch. Rajasthan need more 112 in 74 balls. 36/4
|
|||||
David Miller | 62 | 43 | 7 | 2 | 144.18 |
c Lalit Yadav b Avesh Khan
15.5 OUT! CAUGHT! Is that the end of the game for Rajasthan? What a knock from Miller but he has failed to take Rajasthan home. He felt that this was the bowler to go after and he hit two sixes before this and he tried to hit the third but mistimes one. Khan bowls a full ball on middle, Miller looks to go over long on but fails to time it well. It goes towards long on where Lalit Yadav takes a simple catch. 44 needed in 25 balls. 104/7
|
|||||
Riyan Parag | 2 | 5 | 0 | 0 | 40 |
c Shikhar Dhawan b Avesh Khan
9.2 OUT! CAUGHT! Another one bites the dust! The slower ball is doing the damage. Avesh Khan is happy and Dhawan takes his third catch of the evening. Slower ball on off, Parag looks to go over the off side but does not pick the slower ball. It takes the top edge and lobs towards cover where Dhawan takes a good catch. 42/5
|
|||||
Rahul Tewatia | 19 | 17 | 2 | 0 | 111.76 |
c Lalit Yadav b Kagiso Rabada
14.5 OUT! CAUGHT! Pant called Rabada to end this stand and KG says 'you got it captain' and delivers. The extra pace of Rabada does the trick here and Tewatia departs when he was slowly finding his groove. Kagiso bangs the deck hard and with pace. It is on middle and leg, cramps Tewatia for room and arrives quicker than he anticipated. He looks to pull but cannot get enough on it and ends up lobbing it to Lalit Yadav at short mid-wicket. 58 needed off 31 balls now. 90/6
