Seven military personnel were martyred and another 20 injured at the Pathankot Air Force Base. Six terrorists have been killed.

New Delhi:

Cricketing great Sachin Tendulkar on Tuesday saluted Indian soldiers martyred in the terrorist attack at Pathankot Air Force Base in Punjab. (Click here for more stories)

"The real heroes of the country are the security forces who have once again shown their steel in the #PathankotAttack," he tweeted.

"Tragic to lose some of these bravehearts. Heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of the martyrs," the post added.

Seven military personnel were martyred and another 20 injured at the sprawling compound which is located just 25 km from the Pakistan border. Six terrorists have been killed.
