Sachin Tendulkar made mincemeat of opposition bowlers for close to two decades. Life after retirement is quite busy too - just that the field of play has switched from the cricket pitch to the kitchen. The legendary cricketer celebrated the first day of the New Year cooking for friends and even posted a picture doing so on his official Facebook page.
Not many knew Tendulkar could cook but the former cricketer revealed this side of his personality on Thursday. "Cooked baingan bharta for 45 friends - a recipe taught by my mother. They thoroughly enjoyed as it was full of love and affection," he wrote on the social networking site.
Tendulkar had promised to spend more time with the family after retiring from cricket in 2013. Nearly 14 months after calling time on a 24-year international career, Tendulkar is busy fulfilling the vow he made to wife Anjali and their two kids, Arjun and Sara. The family is currently holidaying in Mussoorie.
