Kalyani:
Ghavri, who was here to spot pace bowlers for the programme, said he was visiting various places to hunt prospective talents.
"After the budding fast bowlers are selected I will submit the names to the BCCI. The BCCI will then send them to the Academy of First Bowlers," Ghavri said during a Cooch Behar trophy match.
The former left-arm fast bowler said he has so far spotted about 11 pacers from various states.
"The BCCI has beautifully designed the training programme for budding pacers at the Academy of Fast Bowlers.
The academy arranges camps of 21 days at Mohali. The training in the camp is divided in some steps like training on speed and agility, bowling in nets, swimming, video analysis and lecturers," Ghavri said.
"The ground at Kalyani Stadium is fit for matches like Ranji Trophy but there is a lack of standard hotels here," Ghavri added.
Ghavri also visited the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) academy at Kalyani.
