Sunil Gavaskar expressed his commiserations on the death of former Indian captain Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi on Thursday as he recalled some memories of their cricketing days together.
"I only played two Test matches under him but by all accounts he was the one of the finest captains India.", said Gavaskar in conversation with NDTV.
Gavaskar revealed that Pataudi was known for his pranks that he played on the Indian cricketers.
"He was bit of a prankster as well. The stories of the matches in Bhopal, where he stayed before he moved to Delhi; most of the Indian cricketers would go for sight-seeing or for a shikaar. The dacoits would attack the cricketers, but it was only later you would know that they were Tiger's own men", said Gavaskar.
Gavaskar also expressed his condolences to Pataudi's family.
