PAK vs IRE, Under-19 World Cup Super Six, Highlights: Ahmad Hassan and Ubaid Shah were the top performers as Pakistan beat Ireland by 3 wickets in their Super Six match of the ongoing Under-19 World Cup on Tuesday in Senwes Park, Potchefstroom. Saad Baig says he didn't expect the ball to turn so much in the second innings but Ahmad Hassan did the job in the end. Adds they will learn a lot from this game and rectify their mistakes. For Pakistan, it was all about a couple of good innings or partnerships and they got that. Hassan was the star with a half ton and rest batter around him. If it wasn’t for him things could have been different but a solid knock from him has helped hai side get a hard fought victory. Pakistan kept on losing wickets at regular and it made it difficult for them throughout the game. Credit to Ireland Under-19 for the way they bowled and to make most of this low score. A really good bowling performance by Harry Dyer who with four wickets kept the hopes alive but as said before, Ireland Under-19 were short of runs.
The chase wasn’t as easy as we thought it would be but Pakistan have got over the line and they’ll be pretty pleased with it. We expected them to cruise through to be honest but credit to the Irish bowlers for making it tough for the Pakistan batters. They managed to pick wickets at regular intervals but they just did not have enough runs on the board.
