Chris Gayle plays for RCB in IPL
Chris Gayle has celebrated Mother's Day by posting a picture of his new-born daughter and partner, Natasha Berridge in Instagram. This is the first photo of his baby named Blush.
Gayle and Natasha were blessed with a baby girl in April. The Jamaican opener missed four IPL matches to be with his partner.
Gayle, 36, who plays for Royal Challengers Bangalore, named his daughter - Blush. The name triggered a lot of comments, especially from the Australian media, because Gayle stirred up a controversy for his "don't blush, baby" line to a female Aussie reporter during the Big Bash League in January.
The burly West Indian opener earned widespread condemnation for attempting to flirt with Ten Network's Mel McLaughlin.
During a live interview, Gayle told the journalist "Your eyes are beautiful, hopefully we can have a drink", before quipping "don't blush baby".
Gayle said later in an apology: "A lot of things have occurred from a simple comment, a joke, a simple joke. It seems it went out of proportion."
Over the last couple years I used to tease you and say happy Mother's Day ?? - well, today it's... https://t.co/9CPkcpaXbC

"There wasn't anything at all meant to be disrespectful to Mel, or offensive. If she felt that way, then I am really sorry for that. There wasn't any harm meant. It was a simple joke."
Baby Blush seems to be Gayle's only hurrah it seems.
The fun-loving West Indian batsman, who has not seen double digits in his last six T20 matches, has been totally out of form. He has played just one IPL game against Kolkata Knight Riders on May 2 after returning from Jamaica on April 25.
Gayle was dropped from the RCB squad and his opening slot has gone to Lokesh Rahul, who has scored consistently for Virat Kohli's team.
