Patna:
Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar on Thursday demanded scrapping of Indian Premier League events as it will 'degenerate' cricket in the country.
Stating that he was against 'commercialisation' of the game, he said "Cricket is established as a national symbol... It should not be commercialised as we talk much when India score victory over its rivals."
He, however, refused to elaborate on the issue saying "I don't have expertise in cricket."
