A number of criteria have been listed for potential candidates
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Monday invited applications for the positions of senior, junior and women national selectors.
One of the primary criteria for applying for a national selector position is for the candidate to have represented India in a Test match or an One Day International match, or played at least 50 first class matches in India.
Any person who has completed four years as a selector with BCCI, will not be eligible to apply. The candidate should also have retired from all forms of cricket at least five years prior to the date of application.
With a view of clamping down on conflict of interest cases, the BCCI has made it clear that the candidate shouldn't be associated with any Indian Premier League (IPL) team/management or any other league from around the world.
"Candidates should be under the age of 60 and be willing to undergo a medical examination, if selected," reads another criteria.
