It was time for Mumbaikars to celebrate as well, with Bollywood actor Riteish Deshmukh tweeting

Dhanawade's knock surpassed Arthur Collins' score of 628 not out in 1899. Prithvi Shaw (546 in 2013) of Mumbai school had earlier held the Indian record when he bettered Armaan Jaffer's 473, scored in a Harris Shield match in 2013. Armaan is the nephew of former Test batsman Wasim Jaffer.
This knock has put Dhanawade firmly in the spot-light and with Mumbai Indians noticing his magnificent knock, it might not be too long before he represents the franchise in the near future.
