Chris Gayle is known for being a free spirit on and off the field. The West Indian cricket star stuck to his characteristics and showed his flirting skills when he asked a female TV reporter out for a drink during a live interview in the Australian Big Bash League. The big-hitting West Indian was clearly in the mood when Melbourne Renegades took on the Hobart Hurricanes in Hobart. Gayle smashed the Hobart bowlers to all parts, scoring 41 off just 15 balls that included three sixes and four boundaries. Gayle's swashbuckling innings seemed to buoy his spirits further. Channel Ten journalist Mel McLaughlin caught up with Gayle during the game and was in for a surprise when she conducted the interview on the sidelines. The West Indian was later fined USD 7,000 for his remarks, which cricket authorities condemned as "completely out of line". McLaughlin asked the West Indian about his quickfire innings but the answer she got left the journalist a bit embarrassed. The 36-year-old batsman then awkwardly laughed off the comment and told McLaughlin "don't blush baby". (Gayle Says Sorry)
McLaughlin replied by telling Gayle "I'm not blushing" before moving the interview back onto cricketing matters.
Gayle offered to take her out for a drink but sadly for the West Indian didn't receive a positive response.
However, Gayle's antics have not gone down too well, with some criticising the batsman for his comments.

Not good from Chris Gayle, using his social entitlement as a male to put someone in a very uncomfortable position when they're doing a job.
