Reakes, who left the New South Wales Breakers to join the ACT Meteors in the Women's National Cricket League this season, has received the penalty for breaching Article 2.2.1 of the Code (Placing, accepting, laying or entering into any bet in relation to the result, progress, conduct or any other aspect of any match or event).
Angela Reakes, who plays for the Sydney Sixers in the Women's Big Bash League, pleaded guilty to breaches of Australia's anti-corruption code by betting on the Man of the Match award in the March 29 final.
As well as her suspended ban, Reakes received an official reprimand and will have to spend time educating other cricketers on anti-corruption issues.
Iain Roy, head of Cricket Australia's integrity unit, said "all elite cricketers are reminded regularly that betting on any form of cricket is strictly prohibited."
